Michi-no-Eki Yoshiumi Iki-iki-kan

This roadside station at the south end of Oshima runs a self-service seafood barbecue. You pay a ¥500 seat fee (free for primary-school children and younger), pick shellfish, fish or meat from the counter and grill it yourself over a shichirin charcoal brazier. Set courses from ¥2,500 to ¥10,000 a head need booking four days ahead for two or more, and plain rice is sold only to those who reserve. Shimanami Japan's English guide calls this the place to stock up before the climbs toward Miyakubo when riding north from Imabari.

The sit-down restaurant serves set meals and rice bowls built on Ehime fish. Its tai-don in the Uwajima style, raw sea bream over rice, costs ¥1,900, and a bowl of boiled whitebait costs ¥1,200. From 1 December 2026 the winter menu adds oyster and red snow crab set meals, ten a day and booked five days ahead, while the barbecue adds all-you-can-eat oysters at ¥4,850.

From 12 January to 14 March 2027 the station closes every Wednesday, and the shop and food court open 10:00 to 16:00. The restaurant takes last orders at 14:00 on winter weekdays, an hour earlier than usual. The station closes on New Year's Day, and the restaurant shuts on 30 and 31 December 2026.
