Glamprook sits on Umashima, an island of fewer than ten residents under the Kurushima Kaikyo bridge between Imabari and Oshima. Private cars need a permit, so drivers park at Imabari port and take the hotel's free boat or car. Riders come down from the bridge deck by lift. The lift closed for repairs from 11 May to 11 September 2026, and the hotel sent cyclists down the island road while it was out.
The rate covers dinner, breakfast and an open bar from 21:00 to 23:00. The hotel-wing bath faces the bridge and the ships passing below. Staff walk guests up to the bridge deck 80 m above the water, and at low tide you can poke into a sea cave near the south deck. Nobody swims here, because the currents round the island run too hard.
Ten hotel rooms and six glamping units face the sea. E-bikes rent for ¥7,000 a day if you want to ride Oshima from the island. Since 1 June 2026 the site takes no cash, so pay by card or QR code, or settle by bank transfer before you arrive.
