Yakitori Seto suits families and groups who want Imabari yakitori in a big, clean room with its own car park, and its trade-off is an early 21:00 close with two closed days a week.
What to order
- Renkon, lotus root stuffed with minced chicken
- Kawa from the griddle
The tourism association calls Seto the standard-bearer of Imabari griddle yakitori, and Mapple counts it among the city's four best-known shops. The kawa keeps plenty of meat on it, and the seseri (neck) comes topped with sliced onion. The association says the plate people order most is renkon: lotus root with minced chicken packed inside. With 40 seats and room for 10 cars, Seto is the easiest of the griddle shops to bring a family to.
Worth knowing
- Book by phone between 12:00 and 17:00 on the day you want to eat.
