Ikon Pass
Multi resort2026/27
The Ikon Pass suits a skier planning a long Japan trip across several mountains, because the full pass gives seven days at each of ten Japanese resorts. Hakuba Valley is the big name missing from the list, since Hakuba sells its pass days through Epic.
Season 2026/27
What it costs
At each resort: Ikon Pass: 7 days at each of the ten Japanese mountains, no blackouts. Ikon Base Pass: 5 days at each. Ikon Session Pass: Niseko United only (2, 3 or 4 day options)..
The full Ikon Pass has no blackout dates. Ikon's 2026/27 Base Pass blackouts in the northern hemisphere fall on 26–30 December 2026, 16–17 January 2027 and 13–14 February 2027. Ikon's Japan listing shows five Base days at each mountain and doesn't say whether those dates apply in Japan, so ask the mountain before you plan Base days around New Year.
It includes
- The full pass gives seven days at each of APPI, Zao Onsen, NEKOMA Mountain, Mt.T, Shiga Kogen, Madarao, Myoko Suginohara and Arai Mountain Resort.
- Niseko United and Furano in Hokkaido also give seven days each, and Ride Hokkaido covers both.
- The Ikon Base Pass gives five days at each of the ten Japanese mountains.
- At Shiga Kogen one Ikon day opens all 18 areas and their 45 lifts and gondolas.
It leaves out
- Ikon publishes no yen price. On 11 October 2026 ikonpass.com listed the adult 2026/27 Ikon Pass at US$1,529 (US$1,834.80 refundable) and the Ikon Base Pass at US$1,099.
- The Ikon Session Pass gives no access at any of the eight Honshu mountains.
- Hakuba Valley and Nozawa Onsen sit outside the Ikon list.
- Shiga Kogen doesn't sell Ikon's discounted friends-and-family day tickets.

Beyond this guide it also covers Shiga Kogen Mountain Resort (all 18 areas on one day count), Niseko United (Hokkaido, covered by Ride Hokkaido), Furano Ski Resort (Hokkaido, covered by Ride Hokkaido).
Ikon lists ten Japanese mountains for 2026/27, and eight of them are on Honshu, the main island. APPI in Iwate and Zao Onsen in Yamagata hold the northern end, with NEKOMA Mountain further south in Fukushima. Mt.T sits on Tanigawadake near Minakami in Gunma. Madarao and Shiga Kogen are in northern Nagano, and Myoko Suginohara and Arai Mountain Resort are both in Myoko in Niigata.
Madarao is new to the pass this winter. Every Japanese mountain gives the full Ikon Pass seven days, counted at each mountain on its own, and the Base Pass gets five. At Shiga Kogen a single Ikon day covers all eighteen areas, since the resort treats the pass as its all-mountain ticket and scans it at the gates. Niseko United and Furano are the two Hokkaido mountains on the list, and Ride Hokkaido covers them.
Ikon sells the pass in US dollars and publishes no yen price. On 11 October 2026 ikonpass.com listed the adult Ikon Pass at US$1,529 and the Base Pass at US$1,099, and the refundable Ikon Pass at US$1,834.80 can be cancelled for any reason until 15 January 2027. For a yardstick in yen, a 7-day all-mountain ticket at Shiga Kogen costs ¥63,500 at the window this winter.
Shiga Kogen and Myoko Suginohara scan the Ikon card straight at the lift gates, with no reservation. If your card hasn't arrived before the trip, a ticket counter at either resort will issue a local ticket when you show your pass details and photo ID in person. Myoko's shuttle bus links Suginohara with Ikenotaira, Akakura, Madarao, Tangram and Arai, which makes a base in Myoko good for three Ikon mountains.
Worth knowing
- Pair Ikon days with a Hakuba Valley day ticket if you want Hakuba on the same trip, because Hakuba's resorts are on Epic.
- Myoko Suginohara is running smaller car parks this winter and charges for parking, so the Myoko shuttle bus is the easier way in.
- Ask the mountain about Base Pass blackouts before booking a New Year trip on the Base Pass, since Ikon's Japan listing doesn't settle it.
Quick answers about Ikon Passよくある質問
Does the Ikon Pass work in Hakuba?
No. Hakuba Valley's ten resorts are on the Epic Pass for 2026/27. The Ikon mountains in Nagano are Madarao and Shiga Kogen.
Are Ikon days at Shiga Kogen counted per area?
One Ikon day at Shiga Kogen covers every lift in all eighteen areas. You can ride from Yakebitaiyama to Okushiga Kogen and it still uses one of your seven days.
Can I use the Ikon Session Pass in Japan?
Only at Niseko United in Hokkaido, with two, three or four days. The eight Honshu mountains on the Ikon list give the Session Pass no access.
Do I need to reserve Ikon days in Japan?
