Seniors over 55 pay ¥6,500 and elementary-school children ¥4,500; the 4-hour ticket is ¥6,000 and preschoolers pay ¥1,000. A ¥500 IC card deposit is extra. The Madarao Mountain Pass covers both resorts for ¥9,000 a day. Tangram also belongs to the NAGANO 7 Powder Dream Pass. The Ikon Pass covers Madarao and does not cover Tangram.

From Tokyo Station
- Bus
- Buses leave from the Yumeria bus park at Nagano Station East Exit and from stop 1 on the Chikuma River side of Iiyama Station.
- Train
- Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo to Nagano or Iiyama, then the local bus to Tangram Madarao; a reservation-only paid bus also runs.
The nearest station is Kurohime. Shinano Railway Kita-Shinano Line; buses stop outside the ticket gate.
Hotel guests can book the hotel's own transfer bus online.
Tangram spreads over the north-northwest face of Mt. Madarao, and almost every run ends at the door of Hotel Tangram. The hotel holds the hot spring, an indoor pool, restaurants and the ticket office, so a family can spend the whole week without a car. The No. 6 pair on the right of the map serves the pension area instead.
The No. 5 quad doubles as the sightseeing lift to Nojiriko Terrace at 1,100 m, a deck looking over Lake Nojiri and the five peaks of northern Shinano. The ungroomed powder zones include King's Slalom and Jack Downhill, and the tree runs carry fruit names such as Anzu Downhill and Momo Downhill.
The left-hand ridge connects with Madarao, and with the joint ticket the riding area grows two and a half times. Tangram opens on 19 December 2026 and runs to 28 March 2027, with the slopes open until 18:00 on busy Saturdays.
Worth knowing
- Buy the Madarao Mountain Pass at the Tangram ticket centre if you want both resorts.
- Watch the lift closing time on the link lifts. Tangram's No. 1 and Madarao's No. 15 connect the two, and missing the last one means a long way round.
- Buses run from Nagano Station East Exit and Iiyama Station, and also stop at Kurohime Station and Lake Nojiri.
