HEGURI HUB

HEGURI HUB took over the old Heguri nursery school below Mt. Iyogatake in Minamiboso, about 15 minutes by car from JR Iwai Station. The Awa no Kuni cycle tourism association has run a clubhouse for riders here since November 2017, and in July 2021 the site added the guesthouse, a lunch counter, coworking desks and a small campsite.
The guesthouse has a four-bed bunk room and a two-futon room, and the night rate includes the shower and a towel. Check-in runs from 14:00 to 18:00 in person and check-out is at 10:00. Bookings go through the site's web form and close at midnight two days before, and cancelling inside two weeks costs 20 to 100 percent of the rate.
The clubhouse keeps a pump, bike tools and changing rooms for anyone riding through. It hires out Giant cross bikes and e-bikes at weekends, so a rider without a bike can stay the night and ride the valleys the next morning.
