Michi-no-eki Izu Gateway Kannami
道の駅 伊豆ゲートウェイ函南35°05′ N 138°56′ EMichi no eki
Izu Gateway Kannami suits riders heading into Izu who want coffee, sushi and a full refuel at the top of the peninsula, and the trade-off is a busy roadside stop at the expressway exit.
What to order
- Tanna milk soft serve
- Sushi at Numazu Uogashi
This roadside station sits one minute from the Kannami-Tsukamoto exit of the Izu Jukan expressway and calls itself the eighth michi-no-eki on the Izu peninsula. Inside you find Numazu Uogashi sushi from 10:00 to 18:00, a Tully's Coffee from 9:00 and Green Grill Kisetsu, which cooks with Tanna highland tomatoes. The produce hall sells Tanna milk, Kannami's own brand, and the soft serve made with it is the local order.
A share-bike station for the Harenohi Cycle scheme stands on site, and the tourist desk hands out maps for short rides along the Kano river. The 7-Eleven never closes, which makes this a sure stop on an early start south.
Worth knowing
- Green Grill Kisetsu keeps shorter hours on 23, 28 and 30 October 2026.
