Cytel is the lodge of the Japan Cycle Sports Center, the cycling park in the hills north-east of Shuzenji that also holds the Izu Velodrome. Rooms run from Western singles and twins up to five-bed rooms, Japanese tatami rooms and one large shared room, and every type costs the same per head. Dinner and breakfast come in a canteen-style dining room. The men's and women's baths supply rinse-in shampoo and body soap and nothing else, so pack a towel or buy one for ¥500.
The draw for a rider is the Sai-toku deal. Each night earns every guest a ticket that waives the ¥850 park entry or halves the price of a Toku-pass, and the centre will hand over a second ticket so you can use it the next day too. Bring your own bike and the circuit set ticket costs ¥1,400 with entry. The park closes on Wednesdays and Thursdays outside holiday periods, and from 1 to 24 December 2026 it keeps winter hours of 10:00 to 16:00.
Getting here without a car takes some planning. The Tokai bus from Shuzenji Station only runs on weekends, holidays and school breaks, with one morning and one evening service that takes about 18 minutes. On other days the centre points you to a taxi from Shuzenji, or from Usami on the Ito line, which it puts at about 30 minutes.
