Tsukushinbo is a traditional izakaya in the basement of the Tokiwaya ryokan, next to the Oyu bathhouse. The Nozawa ski site lists Shinshu salmon and Sea of Japan sashimi, iwana trout grilled with salt, fried chicken, agedashi tofu, soba and udon, with 50 seats and a budget of ¥2,000 to ¥3,000 a head. Nozawa Hospitality adds horse sashimi to the list. The house tip is a ruby-red grapefruit chu-hi with the fried shiso and cheese spring rolls.
