Things to do in Yonago
Yonago lies in western Tottori where the Hino River reaches the sea, with Mt. Daisen to the east and the Nakaumi lagoon to the west. Kaike Onsen lines the beach north of the centre, and the city's tourist centre there runs Cog Station Kaike, a rental shop with e-bikes, cross bikes, mountain bikes and minivelos from ¥1,200 a day. The flat Yumigahama course leaves from the same shore and runs about 16 km one way along the Sea of Japan.
Buses to Daisen-ji leave from Yonago Station and take about 50 minutes, by Hotel Daisen Shirogane's count. The Sakai Line runs from Yonago to Sakaiminato, the western end of the Tottori Uminami Road. On 10 October 2026 Tottori held the Uminami Road Festival at the Hiezu seaside park just east of Kaike to mark the route's designation as a National Cycle Route.
