Seniors over 60 pay ¥5,000 and children up to junior high ¥3,500. Morning or afternoon tickets cost ¥5,200. Tickets sell at the window by the No. 2 pair lift. The season pass costs ¥55,000, or ¥45,000 in the early-bird sale from 13 October to 30 November 2026, and it also covers Up Kannabe; holders get ¥500 off a Hachi Kita day ticket.

Okukannabe is the farthest of the three Kannabe Kogen resorts from the expressway, about 13 km from Hidaka-Kannabe-Kogen IC, and Japanese Wikipedia puts its top at 940 m, the highest on the plateau. Locals call it Okukan. The resort runs seven courses on five lifts, and it hosts technical ski championships most seasons.
The Dangan course is the steepest at 35 degrees, and the off-piste course next to it runs at 30. Tochinoki, at 1,200 m, is the longest run, and its upper half grades as advanced. Beginners still reach the bottom from the top by the Romance course, and the Family course lets children ride the lift holding a sled. The resort says powder sometimes lingers after a snowfall.
Japanese Wikipedia reports that Okukannabe stopped running its snowmaking from 2022/23 and that the old pair lift link to Manba has not run since at least 2025/26. That makes the season hang on natural snow, so check the TODAY'S OKUKAN page before you drive.
Worth knowing
- Parking costs ¥1,500 a car at weekends, on holidays and over New Year, and nothing on weekdays.
