Hachi spreads over the south side of Mt. Hachibuse in Yabu, northern Hyogo, and it shares the 1,221 m summit with Hachi Kita on the other side. The resort lists ten courses, and every one of them in its live table is beginner or intermediate. The Central slope is wide and gentle, and the slow-loading quad keeps the getting on and off easy for children. The Rinkan course winds down through the trees from the Central slope to the foot of the mountain.
Two expert areas open only after heavy snow. Highland View runs from the summit of Mt. Hachibuse down into Hachi, and on most days you ride a lift down that stretch instead. Superstar drops off Takamaru-yama. The resort announces both on its site and social feeds just before they open.
Most riders come for THE PARKS, which the resort calls one of the largest snow parks in Kansai. Snow Land next door has tube runs and sleds for children over four, and it costs ¥3,000 or comes free with a day or afternoon lift ticket. A Lacuna moving walkway serves a learning area under 10 degrees.
Worth knowing
- Buy the early-bird day ticket online before 13 December 2026; it costs ¥4,800 against ¥6,000 at the window and stays valid until the end of January 2028.
- The car park at the base stays open 24 hours, and the hamlets of Tando and Okubo below the slopes have more parking.
- Check the Hachi site on the morning you ride if you want Highland View or Superstar; both open only with deep snow.
