Getting there
The pass is sold at the Yamanouchi Information Centre in front of Yudanaka Station on the Nagano Electric Railway.
Since 6 February 2026 the Yamanouchi tourism bureau has sold a pass that opens two of Yudanaka's communal baths, Yudanaka O-yu and Yudanaka Wata-no-yu. Kaede no Yu, the day bath beside the station, comes on the same pass. You collect a key at the Yamanouchi Information Centre in front of Yudanaka Station.
The pass costs ¥1,800 for adults and ¥1,000 for children aged 7 to 12. Bring photo ID for each person in your group. The bureau has only a set number of keys to lend, and the communal baths close on cleaning days, so go early in the day.
Worth knowing
- Pair the pass with Jigokudani Yaen-koen: the bus from Yudanaka to the Snow Monkey Park stop takes about 15 minutes.
- The communal baths close at 17:00, so do them before Kaede no Yu, which takes pass holders until 20:30.
