Beyond this guide it also covers Shiga Kogen Mountain Resort (all areas, lifts and gondolas), Snow Resort Romance no Kamisama (new for 2026/27; Riding Japan has no page for it yet).
Seven resorts in northern Nagano sell one season pass between them, and for 2026/27 Snow Resort Romance no Kamisama joins the six from last season, so NAGANO 6 becomes NAGANO7. The Shinshu Iiyama Tourism Bureau runs the sales from its activity centre inside Iiyama Station. The pass covers daytime riding at Shiga Kogen, Nozawa Onsen, Madarao, Tangram Ski Circus, Ryuoo Ski Park, Togakushi and Romance no Kamisama for each resort's whole pass period.
Prices climb as the season gets closer. An adult pays ¥140,000 online from 1 to 31 October 2026, ¥150,000 online through November and ¥160,000 from 1 December 2026 to 31 January 2027. Children up to high-school age pay ¥110,000, ¥115,000 and ¥120,000 over the same three windows. Paying by bank transfer in October or November takes ¥2,000 off, and every price leaves out the IC card deposit.
Buying takes two steps. You register on the application page with a photo for the pass and the resort where you want to collect it, then pay through the link they email you. A Shiga Kogen or Nozawa Onsen pickup during the online windows is posted from mid-November for ¥1,000. Nothing ships abroad, so a visitor from overseas picks Madarao, Ryuoo, Tangram, Togakushi or Romance no Kamisama and collects the pass at the counter after that resort opens.
The season lengths differ a lot. Shiga Kogen and Nozawa Onsen run their pass periods to 5 May 2027, so spring riders get the most from those two. Madarao, Tangram and Ryuoo stop on 28 March, Togakushi on 31 March and Romance no Kamisama on 4 April.
Worth knowing
- Pick your home resort as the pickup, because a lost pass can only be reissued there.
- Bring your passport to collect the pass. Residents outside Japan must show one, and nobody else can collect it for you.
- Compare it with the Shiga Kogen all-area season pass on its own. If you'll ride Shiga Kogen nearly every day, that pass costs less.
