OCTONE Brewing suits anyone who wants a local craft beer or a Minakami apple cider in the middle of Minakami Onsen, and its taproom keeps short hours and closes midweek.

OCTONE began brewing in 2018 with water from the Minakami area, and the owners went on to grow their own hops and apples. In spring 2025 they moved the brewing into a disused town kindergarten and began making hard cider as well, with a 100% Minakami apple cider called Kigi wa Haru in 330 ml bottles. The taproom stands next to the brewery in the onsen town and fills growlers you bring.
The lineup runs from Okutone Ale and Yamabito Ale to Mori-no Porter and Upstream IPA, and the Campfire steakhouse down the road pours it too. In October 2026 it poured at Mogura Beer Camp at Doai Station.
