Kaikake Onsen

Kaikake is a single inn across the Kaikake bridge over the Kiyotsu River, in the Mitsumata district on the way up to Kagura and Naeba. The inn calls its water an eye onsen, and it has an open-air bath and a large bathhouse.

The kitchen has its own cooks and serves char and carp with mountain vegetables. The 21 rooms are Japanese-style.

The inn runs small tours through the year. In 2026 these included snowshoe walks in March and visits to the Aoki and Shirataki sake breweries from 19 November.
