Meiho suits skiers who want one long run and steep moguls an hour and a quarter from Ichinomiya, and the trade-off is that it sits apart from the Takasu resorts and their shared ticket.

Meiho lies on the northeast face of Mt. Eboshi in Gujo's Meiho district, east of the Takasu cluster. Its signature course α5000 runs 5,000 m from the top at a gentle 8° average, with terrain features dotted along it. Four quads and a pair lift serve 12 named courses.
The steep end is short and serious. γ800 hits 38° and the resort calls it its toughest pitch, and γ900 is a long mogul field from the top that turns to powder on fresh mornings. On weekdays dogs can ride the No. 3 and No. 4 quads, and a pet course lets owners ski with them.
Meiho changes its lift hours for 2026/27, with the first lifts at 8:00 and at 7:30 on February weekends. A free shuttle bookable from Gujo Hachiman runs from mid-December to late March, so a stay in the castle town works without a car.
Worth knowing
- Weekday parking is free, and season pass holders park free at weekends too.
- Book the free Gujo Hachiman shuttle ahead; it leaves the Fairfield by Marriott Gifu Gujo at 8:15 and takes about 75 minutes.
