Oyado Furuya

Furuya is a 13-room Japanese inn on the slope of Akakura Onsen. Its two bathhouses sit on the top floor so the view carries over the village: one has tatami-matted floors and the other is stone, and each has an open-air tub of free-flowing source water.
Rooms come in eight types, from plain ten-mat tatami rooms to suites and Japanese-Western rooms with their own onsen tub. A sky terrace reopened after renovation in August 2025.
The autumn 2026 plans lean on rosy seabass from the Japan Sea, called nodoguro here, and on mountain vegetables from around Myoko. Check-in runs to 19:00 and the inn takes arrivals up to 21:00. Plan to arrive in time for dinner, which is the point of staying here.
