Hunter sits on the main street of Akakura Onsen with its own restaurant downstairs, and the convenience store and pharmacy are next door. The lodge puts the Akakura Onsen ski area at four minutes on foot. The Akakura Kanko Resort shuttle stops about fifty steps away and gets you to that resort in four minutes.
The lodge has its own free-flowing onsen bath and free parking, which is rare on the main street in winter. A partner rental shop thirty metres away gives guests a discount.
Bookings for the 2026/27 season opened on 10 June 2026. Myoko Tourism lists breakfast plans and room-only stays, and no dinner plan.
