Kogen Hotel Taizan

Taizan stands in the middle of Akakura's main street. The hotel puts both Akakura Kanko Resort and the Akakura Onsen ski area at a five-minute walk, and the izakaya and bars start at the front door.
The baths are free-flowing Akakura water, with a big bath, a wooden bath and a garden open-air bath you can take privately. In 2025 the hotel renovated some rooms and gave them their own semi-open-air tubs of source water.
Myoko Tourism lists a station pick-up and day bathing for visitors. In summer the hotel runs its own gym for sports camps, so the kitchen is used to feeding groups.
