Hotel Cycle fills the back of Onomichi U2, a 1943 prefectural shipping warehouse on the channel that reopened in March 2014 with a restaurant, bar, bakery, shop and Giant bike store under one roof. You ride in, check in at the counter with the bike beside you and wheel it to the room. Every room is a twin with a bathtub and a separate rain shower, and most have a wall hanger for the bike.
Rooms run from about 20 square metres in the Standard Twin to 26.9 in the Deluxe, and the hotel lists them at ¥19,800, ¥24,200 and ¥26,400 a room. The downstairs repair space lends tools, and the front desk will hold a bike you ship ahead and send it home at the end. Parking costs ¥2,000 a night at the station port car park next door, and the hotel gives a ¥1,000 coupon toward it.
