This eight-room pension sits in the Omote-Bandai onsen area below Mt. Bandai, about ten minutes by taxi from Inawashiro Station. It has no big communal bath. You book slots at check-in in four private baths with six tubs between them, for before dinner, after dinner and the morning. The garden open-air bath looks to Lake Inawashiro on a clear day, and the outdoor tub is cut from hinoki cypress the owners say is 1,200 years old.
Some baths run Omote-Bandai onsen water, which Jalan notes is topped up, heated and filtered, and one tub is a jacuzzi shipped from the United States. A Dead Sea float bath rounds out the set. A few rooms have their own open-air or hinoki bath that you can use at any hour.
NEKOMA's list puts the South Area, the former Alts Bandai, 10 minutes away by car and the North Area 40. Dinner is an Italian full course, which NEKOMA singles out, and recent Jalan reviews from September 2026 rate the food and the baths highly.
