Drifter Myoko

Drifter is a small lodge near the base of Myoko Suginohara, and reviews on its own site describe skiing the 8.5-kilometre run down to the back door. The family running it speaks English and Japanese.
Breakfast comes with every booking, and a snack bar sells drinks. Each morning a shuttle leaves at 08:00 for first lifts at Suginohara, and the lodge picks up and drops off at Myoko-Kogen Station and the Akakura bus stop.
The local onsen in Suginosawa is a ten-minute walk, and the bus to Ikenotaira and Akakura stops out front. Myoko Tourism lists parking at ¥1,000.
