Yunoshimakan suits couples who want a registered cultural property from 1931 on a wooded hill above Gero. The trade-off is that the most striking rooms cost the most.

Yunoshimakan
Yunoshimakan opened in 1931 on a 50,000-tsubo wooded hillside above the town, and its early Showa buildings are registered cultural properties. The inn struck the source that revived Gero's springs in 1928, and every tub down to the in-room baths gets source water, with an observation bath and rotenburo looking over the town.
The inn runs one bus a day each way from Nagoya Station to Gero bus centre for ¥4,500 return or ¥3,300 one way, and every seat must be booked. Guests arriving on the Hida express can ask for a pick-up between 13:35 and 17:25.
