Ted's Guesthouse & Activity Center

The owner built Ted's for riders, close to Uchiko's preserved townscape. Every room takes a bike, and the shop is a Specialized Experience Station with a self-service stand and a rental fleet that runs from e-bikes to gravel bikes. Guided rides range from a pottering loop of 10 km or more round the town to about 40 km into the hills, and the owner points riders on toward Nanyo and Nishitosa on the Shimanto.
Uchiko Station is five minutes away by car or 20 minutes on foot, and the limited express from Matsuyama takes about 25 minutes. Shower rooms are shared. Ted's backs the town's zero-carbon pledge and gives out no free disposable amenities, so pack your own.
