K's House Kyoto opened in autumn 2003 nine minutes' walk from JR Kyoto Station and four from Keihan Shichijo. The hostel says about four in five guests come from overseas. Every room has its own shower room and a tatami area, by the hostel's account.
The front desk rents bicycles, which saves the walk back to the station rental counters. The hostel has a full guest kitchen and a rooftop terrace, and coin laundry costs ¥500 a load.
