Kagikake Pass sits at 912 m on Prefectural Road 45 and is the highest point of the road that loops round Mt. Daisen. Beech forest falls away in front of the lookout, and behind it the south face of Daisen shows its scree and the gullies left by huge rock falls. The lookout has a car park and toilets.
Without a car, take the JR Hakubi Line to Ebi and a bus of about 30 minutes to the Ohirabara-shita stop.
