From Tokyo Station

- From 12 December 2026 a reservation-only direct bus runs once a day from JR Ueno Station's Park Exit to Kurumayama Kogen, 7:00 to 10:50, ¥4,400 one way or ¥7,700 return.
- Train
- JR Chuo Line limited express from Shinjuku to Chino, then the Suwa bus to Kurumayama Kogen, about 60 minutes.
A taxi from Chino Station takes about 40 minutes and costs about ¥8,000.
The nearest station is Chino, 60 minutes from the first lift. JR Chuo Line; minutes are the bus time.
Kurumayama is a wide open hill on the Kirigamine highlands above Chino. The slopes face the open sky with no trees to speak of, and on a clear day the summit shows the mountains of Shinshu all around.
Six named runs cover the hill. Family and Panorama suit beginners, and Venus and Sportsman are the steep ones. Snowmaking covers the hill from top to bottom, which keeps the runs open in a dry winter.
For 2026/27 a new direct bus runs from Ueno Station's Park Exit to Kurumayama once a day from 12 December, leaving at 7:00 and arriving at 10:50, with seats at ¥4,400 one way.
