In the town centre the Machinaka bikes are free from Mikawa-Tahara Station and four other counters, and you return them by 19:00. The Rokkun e-assist bikes go out from Mekkun House and Akabane Loco Station at ¥500 an hour, and at Irago the ferry terminal and three hotels rent e-assist bikes at ¥500 an hour or ¥2,000 a day.
E-bikes from the three roadside stations can be left at another one for ¥2,000 extra, which makes a one-way ride along the Pacific coast possible. No counter takes bookings. The bikes have to stay inside Tahara city.
