The Fukuoka Prefecture Tourism Association set up the concierge in October 2024 because riders found it hard to rent a bike for a multi-day tour. It books bikes and e-bikes from five rental hubs around Fukuoka, can deliver some of them, and finds certified cycling guides and support cars for groups.
It also helps riders who arrive with their own bike: a mechanic can build it up from its box at the start and pack it for the flight home, and the service stores boxes and bags in between. Planning advice in English or Japanese is free.
