Teams and solo riders count laps of Suzuka's full 5.807 km international course in four or eight hours, and the most laps wins. The organisers set out to make it a day for taking part, with costumed teams and a prize draw beside the racing. Team riders swap in and out, so a newcomer can share the eight hours.
For 2026 the 8-hour solo class returns as a double entry with Attack 240, a target of 40 laps or 232.28 km inside the eight hours. The organisers say last year's fastest finishers took about 5 hours 30 minutes, and 116 riders completed all 240 km. More than half the solo field made it. The solo entry cost ¥16,800 and sold out. Entries closed on 5 October; a rider who drops out can name a substitute until 11 November.
