Umi-no-Eki Shinkiro suits riders on the Toyama Bay route who want a weekend beach barbecue and a rental e-bike in Uozu, and its trade-off is that the grill stands close from December to February.
What to order
- Hama-yaki, shellfish and fish grilled over charcoal, on weekends
- Shinkiro soft-serve
Umi-no-Eki Shinkiro is Uozu's seaside market on the stretch of shore known for mirages over the bay. It sells fresh fish and local produce, and on weekends a hama-yaki stand grills shellfish and fish over charcoal. Uozu's Miracle rental scheme keeps e-bikes and cross bikes here for pick-up and return.
It opens from 9:00 to 18:00 and closes earlier in winter. It shuts on the second Wednesday of each month except in May, August and December.
